Hues of Phthalo

This new collection of tonal studies -on board, have been developed as part of preparation for a group show entitled, ‘Reaching Abstraction’.

This looser, more limited use of colour and gestural brush-marks, remain landscape derived but take on a much more expressionistic style and subtle surface quality.

Oil on board 60x30cm plus a deep tray frame which is hand finished in a waxed oak stain.
